Paradise Park Bandstand

2024-2025 Award of Outstanding Achievement
The City of Thomasville

Located at the corner of South Broad and Hansell Streets, Paradise Park is locally recognized as an historic, 18-acre park which was known during Thomasville’s Resort Era as “Yankee Paradise.” The park’s historic bandstand was constructed in 1905 and was given as a gift to the city as space for public performances.

Starting in the summer of 2023, Landmarks collaborated with local funders to secure the necessary funds for the bandstand’s rehabilitation. Work included new flooring, repair of the bandstand’s historic brackets, stabilization of bandstand columns, and design of wrap steps intended to expand the bandstand’s performance space.
