Pebble Hill Plantation
Located in Thomas and Grady counties, Georgia, Pebble Hill Plantation is an estate totaling 3,000 acres. Originally established as a working plantation during the antebellum era, Pebble Hill’s modern history is one of a winter home and sporting plantation. In 1896, Cleveland, Ohio businessman, Howard Melville Hanna, Sr., purchased the site, giving the property to his daughter, Kate Hanna Ireland (Harvey) in 1901. It was Mrs. Harvey who oversaw the construction of the property’s current buildings and guided the site into the 20 th century. Pebble Hill’s Uno Hill Barn is a late-20 th century building, constructed for events where a casual atmosphere and relaxed entertaining are desired. Enjoy the site’s outdoor fireplace, picnic pavilion, and twinkle lights as we celebrate the art of preservation in Thomas County.
