Millpond Plantation

2024-2025 Award of Stewardship

Millpond Plantation, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, was constructed between 1903 and 1905, with the complex completed in 1910. Millpond’s spring fed pool was originally constructed in the early 1900s. In addition to its obvious use as a swimming pool, this landscape feature serves as a focal point from the terminus of Millpond’s historic Rose Walk and original Tea House. Millpond’s historic swimming pool had been abandoned for decades before being brought back to life in 2023. Additional improvements are ongoing and will include landscaping and renovation of the pool’s original pump house.
